The process of pressing and blasting natural stones such as marble, travertine, slate, onyx and limestone, as raw material, after they are cut and shaped in desired dimensions, is called blasting or splitting. In this process, the stones are cut into equal pieces in different sizes and divided into two parts by blasting/splitting the pieces from the middle. The part separated from the middle has a rough surface as a result of the explosion and has a decorative appearance. Thus, two decorative stones are formed with one smooth surface and the other exploded - splitted.
